ASCAP J.A.M. Prize

Entry deadline—December 20, 2010

Getting your songs heard is one of the toughest parts about breaking into the music industry. It's hard enough for an adult, but who's going to listen to a teen songwriter?

The winner of the Young Guns 2010 ASCAP J.A.M. Prize won't have that problem. In fact, you'll actually be invited to perform your winning song in at the ASCAP I Create Music Expo in Los Angeles, the music industry capital of the United States.

What's ASCAP? It's only the oldest and largest organization to collect royalties for songwriters - some 300,000 of them.

Alanis Morissette, Madonna, the Beastie Boys, No Doubt, Jason Mraz, the Killers, Jay-Z, Mary J. Blige, Metallica, Dave Matthews and Nine Inch Nails are all members of ASCAP.

ASCAP Jam

The ASCAP 2010 EXPO is an essential experience for any music creator, providing three days of education, innovation and inspiration. It draws some of the biggest names in songwriting, composing, publishing and music producing as well as top industry executives.

And they'll be listening to you if you're the winner of the Young Guns 2010 ASCAP J.A.M. Prize.

That's right. You'll not only be invited to attend the ASCAP Expo but you'll be asked to take the stage and play your Young Guns 2010 original prize-winning song.

Just send us a postcard from LA while you're out there soaking it all in!
